Barrapres	BarraPres is an open-source software solution developed by the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology (Ibict) as part of the Hipátia digital preservation model. Created in partnership with the Court of Justice of the Federal District and Territories (TJDFT), BarraPres supports the implementation of trustworthy digital archival repositories and contributes to the long-term preservation of digital records. Within the Hipátia model, BarraPres functions as an integration layer between records management, digital preservation, and access environments. It helps automate the transfer of digital objects and their associated metadata between institutional systems and preservation platforms, such as Archivematica. This integration is essential for maintaining the authenticity, integrity, reliability, and accessibility of digital records over time. The Hipátia model is structured around five main phases: archival preparation, computational preparation, extraction of digital objects, preservation, and dissemination. By connecting these stages and supporting interoperability among different systems, BarraPres helps organizations establish more consistent, secure, and sustainable digital preservation workflows.
