Description
Redax completely redacts (removes) text and graphics from the PDF page. Hacking the file cannot reveal properly redacted information.
Redax is a plug-in for Adobe Acrobat. Created and maintained by the Appligent Document Solutions, Redax software can be purchased for a single user licence or as an enterprise solution for multiple users. A free trail can be downloaded prior to purchase.

Digital curators handling files that include private information can use this tool to prepare documents for ingest by removing sensitive data (social security numbers, DOB's, addresses etc.) from PDF files at the bit level. Appligent notes special features in Redax that allow for manual specification and selection of redacted content, FOIA exemption codes, workflow automation and batch redaction processing. Text, images, whole pages and multiple pages of documents can be securely removed as well as the document metadata (http://www.appligent.com/desktop-software/redax/).

Available for Windows Operating System (32-bit). Full version of Adobe Acrobat Standard or Professional versions 7-XI are required to use this plug-in.
