Mailward
Description
Mailward reads PST, OST, OLM, MBOX, EML and MSG email files in a web browser. It provides folder and message browsing, text search and attachment access. Parsing takes place on the user's device rather than by uploading the email archive to a conversion server.
Supported exports include EML, MBOX, CSV indexes and attachment ZIP files, depending on the source format and selected operation. Folder and whole-archive exports can preserve the folder layout in a ZIP file.
The free tier provides browsing and search, and three single-message EML exports per day. For MBOX files, reading messages beyond the first 500 MB requires a paid licence, while the full mailbox can be listed and searched. Batch exports also require a paid licence.
Limitations
Mailward does not repair damaged PST files or write PST files. Conversion from Outlook formats to MIME formats can lose Outlook-specific properties. It is a general-purpose viewer and converter, not an independently validated forensic tool.
