DLCM

The OAIS-compliant DLCM technology, developed in Switzerland offers an open and modular architecture for the long-term preservation of research or administrative data. The technology provides services based on independent information packages, such as data submission, storage (even in DNA), metadata indexing, and access control via RESTful APIs. It complies with best archiving practices and FAIR principles, while guaranteeing secure access to archives according to data sensitivity.

Developed with financial support from swissuniversities, the DLCM's open-access technology enables long-term digital preservation.

This technology has been designed with Swiss know-how to build complete digital archiving solutions accessible via a simple, ergonomic Web portal. Its strengths lie in its modularity, scalability and open architecture, which comply with the OAIS standard and best archiving practices. DLCM technology facilitates data deposit for both research and administrative/patrimonial fields. The backlog of the technology is still alive to improve and enhance its features for two Swiss preservation services currently in production. The deployment of a third instance is currently in progress in Belgium. Somes other institutions are assessing DLCM for their owned needs.
