Description

The Metadata Interrogator is a full GUI tool for metadata extraction and analysis from a wide variety of file formats. It aims to extract any and all metadata from as many file types as possible, and displays this in an easy to read GUI interface. It also provides in-tool analysis such as timelines, file comparison and data set analysis.

The stand-alone Windows executable does not require Perl. Just download and unzip the archive then double-click on "exiftool(-k).exe" to read the application documentation, drag-and-drop files and folders to view meta information, or rename to "exiftool.exe" for command-line use. Runs on all versions of Windows (including Windows 7).
