DeepArc was developed by the National Library of France (BnF) with XQuark to transform relational database content into XML for archiving purposes. It is part of the International Internet Preservation Consortium (IIPC) tool suite for web archiving.

DeepArc tool can be run with Linux, Windows and Mac OS X platforms with particular software:

It is a graphics editing tool, which provides maps between relational data models or several target models in XML schemas.  This tool requires XQuery to get the information from the database and to create a structure for other schemas.
