LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) is an international community initiative that provides libraries with digital preservation tools and support so that they can easily and inexpensively collect and preserve their own copies of authorized e-content.

Platforms:All POSIX (Linux/BSD/UNIX-like OS), Linux. Most LOCKSS installations use a CD which bundles the LOCKSS daemon with an operating system based on OpenBSD. The LOCKSS team also supports running the daemon on RPM-based Linux distributions and on Solaris.
