Step 1

Depositor contacts archive with a URL(s) and some basic metadata about the origin of the website and why they want it archived.

Step 2

Check UK Web Archive (via W3ACT) for a capture of the target URL from the depositor. If the UK Web Archive has archived the URL (relatively recently), the Digital Archivist performs high-level quality review of UKWA captures. The Digital Archivst then requests permission from depositor to request an open access licence to make the archived web resource public. 

Step 2B If no record in W3ACT, then Digital Archivist adds target to W3ACT, then quality check.

Step 2C If not possible to capture through UKWA, perform test with manual Tool

Step 3 Test capture with Webrecorder Tool Suite
