Homepage:https://git.fsfe.org/art1pirat/checkit_tiff
License:same as libtiff, see http://libtiff.maptools.org/misc.html
Platforms:Linux (each distribution should work, tested under Debian Buster), Windows
Input Formats:TIFF
Function:Quality Assurance,Validation
Content type:Image

Description[edit]

The tool evaluates if a given TIFF matches against the rules defined in a configuration profile. The configuration profile is human readable and allows to validate TIFFs against rules like:

  • no compression
  • only 300dpi
  • if tag X has Value Y then tag Z must exist

It is optimized for very high throughput, it is extremely robust and it is suitable for scripted use.
